2. What Data We Collect
Account Information. When you create an account in the App, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account.
User-Created Content. The App allows you to create gratitude journal entries, which may include text and photographs that you choose to attach. This content is stored securely on our servers.
App Preferences. We store your in-app preferences such as your timezone, notification settings, and display preferences to personalize your experience.
Waitlist Information. When you join the StellarDay waitlist on our Website, we collect your email address.
Technical Information. We may automatically collect limited technical information necessary for the operation and security of the Services, such as server logs, IP address, browser type, device information, date and time of access, and similar technical data.
3. Why We Collect Your Data
We collect your data in order to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide and operate the App's features, including the gratitude journal, affirmations, and metaphoric associative cards
- Store and display your journal entries and photos
- Personalize your experience based on your preferences
- Send you daily affirmation notifications, if enabled
- Manage the waitlist and communicate with you about the StellarDay launch
- Maintain the security and functionality of the Services
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Legal Basis for Processing
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection rules, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide and operate the App and your account
- Your consent — where you voluntarily submit your email address to join the waitlist, or enable optional features such as photo uploads and push notifications
- Our legitimate interests — in operating, securing, and improving the Services
5. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Store and sync your journal entries, photos, and preferences
- Deliver daily affirmations and notifications you have opted into

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated marketing purposes.
6. Email Communications and Unsubscribe
By submitting your email address through the waitlist form, you request to receive communications related to the StellarDay launch.

7. Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Services on our behalf. These providers process your data only as necessary to provide services to us, subject to appropriate contractual and security safeguards:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and backend services
- Cloudflare — image storage and content delivery
- Google — sign-in authentication (if you choose to sign in with Google)
- Strato — website hosting
Where these providers act on our behalf, they process your data under appropriate contractual safeguards. Some providers, such as Google, may also process your data under their own privacy policies and terms when you interact with their services directly.
8. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal data outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area.
Where required, we take appropriate steps to ensure that personal data transferred internationally is protected by suitable safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection law.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account data and user-created content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services.
Waitlist email addresses are retained as long as necessary to manage the waitlist and communicate with you about the launch.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete your personal data, including all journal entries and photos, unless we are required to retain certain information for legal reasons.
10. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App by navigating to Settings and selecting "Delete Account." This action is permanent and will remove your account information, all journal entries, photos, preferences, and any other data associated with your account.
If you are unable to access the App and wish to request account deletion, you can contact us at hello@stellar-day.com and we will process your request.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Request data portability
- Lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. 13. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We do not currently use non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies for analytics or advertising. The Website may use strictly necessary technologies required for security, technical functionality, or basic site operation.
14. Children's Privacy
The Services are not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us so we can delete it.
